OUR EXPERIENCE

Our trip to Zambia may have gotten off to a crazy start, and the fishing never quite became what we hoped it would, but neither ended up defining our time there. Over two weeks, we explored both sides of the Zambezi, stood beside the incredible Victoria Falls, and spent days on safari surrounded by more wildlife than we could have imagined seeing in one trip.

We watched elephants wander through the bush, zebras, impala, crocodiles, hippos, and spent the nights spot lighting leopards. We visited elephant sanctuaries and had some amazing food. Zambia became one of those trips where what we went there to do was eventually overshadowed by everything else we experienced – and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Victoria Falls

Experience one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World at Victoria Falls, where the mighty Zambezi River plunges over a mile-wide cliff in a thunderous wall of water and mist.
Explore the falls from a series of trails and viewpoints along the Zambian side, including the Knife-Edge Bridge, where the spray can leave you completely soaked when the river is running high. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or “The Smoke That Thunders,” Victoria Falls is one of those rare landmarks that somehow manages to live up to its reputation – and is absolutely worth getting drenched for.
